Rewiring my starter
I just took my starter out. This was a big production because the nut for the power feed was stripped and I had to snip the power cabling. I am going to do one of two things, and I hope that someone comes up with some helpful ideas within the hour, when I get back from the autoshop
I want to rewire my starter. I want to pull out that old, dirty, rusting power cable and lead a completely new four gauge cable from the battery to the starter. I have some five feet of four gauge cabling just lying around here that I think I can use. What wire, when I look at the battery, can I snip, and pull the whole cable out from the starter? And then I intend to replace it with this new four gauge wire I have. What do you guys think of them apples? Good or bad?
