Update: going with power FC. RE mount adaptors DONOT work. Going to have the shop fab me up something when they have time going to run me ~550USD to solve the mounting problem.
So Total so far into this swap I have spent 85 for flywheel, going to have to spend 550 for a crossmember with mounting points, and another 1200 for the power FC and the stuff to get it running. The rest have been freebies and or off the parts car.




I still need to get a custom downpipe (?), mount the motor, install the power FC (wiating on adaptor), get some new mounts, and figure a way to ship it to hawaii.

If you're using the stock twins a stock downpipe will work for you. You MAY need to angle it down slightly after the firewall. I made my complete exhaust save the downpipe. I cut off the flange (HORRIBLE ANGLE) and welded on some flex pipe and a V-band. if I were you I would buy or get a good catback exhaust (with a 3" -> 2x 2&3/8 or so pipes) and just solve the problem of getting the DP to mate to the Catback. I think that would definately be the quickest and easiest thing to do. Don't get bogged down with the details. I want to see this done and teddy proven wrong yet again. If you need ANYTHING - PM me.

Agreed. It'd be much cheaper for the OP to fly out than ship the car. teddy is going to want to see it for himself so possibly a few forum members can confirm that the thing actually meets the terms of the bet before teddy forks over the coin to get it shipped to witness it for himself.

I dunno, 6 months does not = 180 days. I think it should be 6 full months from whenever the bet was made. If it was 10/16, I think by midnight of 4/16 it should be done, not 4/13 or 14.
