Thumbs up Review: Tein S-tech lowering springs

Just got my new lowering springs installed today. Very straight forward, didnt have any issues with the spring. As you can see from my website I needed lowering springs...bad...and I couldnt bring myself to spend 1k on coilovers. (typical FC owner I know) They advertised as a 1.5" drop, which turned out PERFECT for my car. The car looks sooooo much better its unbelievable. I'll have pics up tommorow after I wash it. When I took a ride in it tonight they didnt feel overly stiff either, felt great actually, much less body roll b/c the spring wouldnt compress as easily as the worn-out stock one did.

I paid $168 shipped from www.hopupracing.com, the only issue I had was that they were on back order and didn't inform me immediately. I contacted them which was a breeze (can you believe they have an AIM account!) The guy was super nice and apologized for the delay. He gave me an option of a full refund, wait, or buy a different set of springs. I decided to just wait, and I'm so happy I did.

Anyways, like I said I'll have pictures up tommorow hopefully. Great lowering springs for guys who can't quite bring themselves to spend 1k on suspension.

(sig has old pictures currently)

I got those same springs and I'm loving it, only I got mine off ebay and they were at my door 2 days later. Worth every cent!

Right on. I have had some B&G springs sitting in my room for about 6 months that I have yet to install, lol.

I've never done suspension before, but I'm a little more motivated now that you said it's really easy...

Can't wait to see the pics... I bet your car looks amazing.

they arnt all that great. I have the tein s-tech's wiht kyb AGX shocks all four corners. I had to turn the AGX's to the stiffest setting to get rid of the bounce. and they didnt really lower it THAT much. Its not extreme or anything. front is pretty low, and the read is about a half inch higher, with a noticeable gap with 16 in wheels and some meaty tires

I got some from there website for 140. Got new shocks because all mine exploded when removing. I love them except the back still looks alittle high.

Like I said it was perfect for me, since my i have very low profile tires. If you didn't notice that much of a difference than your stock springs were worn all to hell i bet. Some people have noticed increased ride height w/ less-than-extreme lowering springs.

Dude its really easy. Took me and my friend 3 hours and we've never installed lowering springs before. Just get rent a spring compressor from autozone and you're set. The hardest part was removing the lock nut (the nut on top of the strut that keeps the spring around the strut) we had to use an impact wrench, after that it was easy though.

Word of warning: make sure you have the front jacked up correctly, we almost killed ourselves once or twice. (the back is uber easy)

What do you mean by having "the front jacked up correctly"?

When we were taking the the bolt that connects the strut to the lower control arm ( i think thats what its called) we didnt have the jack under it, only under the side of the car, after we took out that bolt the rotor assembly fell as did the car, luckly the jack stand was under there, but it still scared the **** outa us.

I doubt your springs were as worn out as you think they were if your car sat that high prior to having them..
