Reverse Gauge Wiring... HELP!

Hi. I just bought some crappy reverse "EL glow" gauges and I can't seem to get them wired correctly (and yes, i've checked the forums and tutorials.. ) Anyway, if any of you have wired these up correctly, i'd appreciate any help.
There is the transformer, and 4 wires coming out of it (in two groupings). One is group has a red wire with another wire that has plugs for the gauges. The other grouping has a black wire and another wire with a on/off button. I didn't know which of the black/red wires was the power and which was the ground. Anyway, if anyone out there knows anything about this... HELP!
Thanks!

Red is normally 12 volts on aftermarket equippement and black is normally ground.

You would probably hook up the Red to the Mazda Red/black (parking light wire) coming from the light switch, since normally even the cheapest EL panels have their own dimmer control.

Of course ground would be any good factory ground bolt such as what is found in the kick panels.
