rev trouble

i got hesitation during rev... usually when i hit the gas a little heavier, on all gears 2nd and up. it'll rev high the back low as if i was hitting the clutch. it'll happen between 2k and 3k rpm on 2nd gear, and around 3-4k rpm on the 3rd and 4th gears. i was wondering if anyone has had this trouble. i know it is possibly a number of things, maybe i could get some ideas as to what it could be.

Possible that your clutch is slipping. Does it feel like a stumble, or just slow to react to increases in throttle?

yeah that was my first thought... it is a stumble. goes past 3 or 4k rpm then starts back down between 2 and 3k

If you can increase engine speed without increasing the speed of the car, the clutch is slipping.
