clutch pressure and bleeding lines?

I just got my clutch replaced today. And at times it had no pressure on the pedal, and would sink to the floor. I merely pulled it back up, pumped it a few times, and it would work.

Well... tonight it wouldn't work period. I had to get towed home by AAA, we tried to bleed the air out, and a few minor bubbles came up, but there still is no pressure.

Ideas?

did you bleed the clutch the way it's described in the FSM?

i replaced the stock clutch hose with a steel braided one just yesterday. i followed the directions in the FSM and it worked for me.

Did you have a shop replace it for you? If so, make them finish the job. If not, bleed the clutch a ton more. There is a lot of area for bubbles to be trapped in.

Why exactly was the system opened up anyway? Was the slave or master cylinder replaced? There's no way bubbles were introduced into the system if just the clutch disk / pressure plate were replaced.

Is there a way to do it without attaching that hose to the bleeder plug before I pump the pedal?

Will it eventually work it's way out if I don't do that anyway?

Just get a friend or somebody to get in and pump the pedal until the bubbles are gone

SOLVED: Bad master, swapped it into my SE from my project GXL...

Bled it, works great. I love having mechanics for friends.
