ok...

ill be driving a long...and around 5-6k the rev limiter will beep for no reason...or is there a reason??

its pretty annoying cause i wont be at redline and it will still beep and stuff...

any ideas why??

is it a different limiter beeping?

 

Check your coolant level. Make sure there is no air in the radiator.

 

And oil. Usually if it's the coolant or oil level, there's also a light on the cluster, but the light could just be bad.

 

Yeah I had the same problem mine would beep at me at random moments, But I was nowhere near redline and I had no lights coming on. so I checked my oil, and sure enough it was low so my light was just not working. most likely thats what tha deal is.

 

HA, I had the same problem a couple of days ago. I installed an rx7.com exhaust, and took it out for a drive, the redline buzzer now goes off at about 6300, instead of 7000. Weird.

the fsm says it may vary by a decent amout i'm not sure what that amount is tho
