reusing side seals questions
I have a set of side seals but the problem is I got them mixed up (oops)
If i clearance them right will they still work ok? Will my engine billow smoke? (ive read some threads that say side seals are related to smoke?)

Reusing side seals?
It's really worth the $$ to buy NEW ones, but you don't HAVE to. Got 'em mixed-up? Mixed-up as in "oh, I just threw the 12 seals into a pile," or as in "I've got 'em categorized by rotor" or as in "I put 'em in separate bags labeled "front and back side of xxxx rotor?""
At any rate, unless your motor is horribly warped (you DID check the tolerances, didn't you?) It shoudn't make a world of difference. Now, it CAN have adverse effects, but if everything's within specifications, you should be okay. BTW, they do very little to stop burning oil. That's what the Oil-control "O" rings are for.
