Question Retractable Foglights

I asked this question on Crixtala's Foglight thread but its odd enough that I thought it was worthy of a new thread.
Here's my chance!!!!!!!
Way back when the FC was new, SOMEBODY was offering a fog light kit that integrated with the headlight retractor mechanism so that the fog lights folded up(completely hidden) when the headlights were down and dropped down when the headlights were up. Pure stealth. Does anybody have any idea about who made this kit? Is there anything like it around now?

that's pretty pointless. the true reason for fog lights is to use them with the headlights off....

i always thought they were used to give more light in a foggy situation (opposed to using the brights...which just makes the visibility worse)

in canada they double as daytime running lights (as you mentioned in a previous post scott)

Why would you want to hide the fog lights? What's the point of doing this?

I guess this keeps rocks and other things that can break the lights away. Other than that, I dont see whats so cool about it.

I thought the factory fog lights on the s5 only come on when you turn on the headlights. I can’t turn on my fog lights without my headlights on.... Also, when I turn the high beams on the fog lights turn off...... So, can you turn the factory fog lights on without the headlights on? If so how because I think that looks pretty cool!

They should turn on with just the park lights.

On some cars they can only be on with the headlights on, other with just the parking lights. They give out light in a foggy situation attempting to shine under the fog, its more for the other drivers than your own visibility. Just what I heard. .02c

screw the fog lights, just get one of those cool light things like in Nightrider (80s show). I saw one on a civic the other day. Ah, the things people will do to their cars.

I guess nobody remembers who made these retractable foglight kits. I'll dig around and see what I can come up with. I may still have a stack of old RX mags. somewhere. (I'm an old geezer)

In most states the headlights must be on low for AUX lighting to be on. That is why they do not work unless the lows are on. Not sure how it works with our friends to the north.
