Restoring project: Price lists!

Hey guys, I just got some prices for some parts that is needed to help me restore the RX-7 that I will be buying in a month or so.

Prices in Candadian Currency.

Brake Master Cylinder: 150 bucks
Clutch Kit: 190 bucks
Clutch Master cylinder: 160
Clutch Slave Cylinder: 60
Fuel filter: 37

I am more in favor with the clutch kit. It comes with pressure plate, fly wheel and the clutch. It comes with everything I need and for 190 bucks Canadian, it is worth it. Also, it is a rebuilt unit, which is fine because it is not turbo and will not have a lot of engine upgrades besides basic bolt ons.

I will buy wires, spark plugs, clutch lines from rx-7 store.

After all these are dealt with and the engine is running great, I will focus my work in suspension and brakes.

You need to look closely at the clutch kit. Even a stock replacement kit with the PP and disc and pilot and t/o bearings will be about $250 US. Clutch kits DONT come with flywheels unless you get an aftermarket setup which will cost you $600+ US.

The clutch master and slave cylinders dont go out often, I personally wouldnt bother replacing them unless they needed it, like if they were leaking or soemthing of that sort. But I do think the clutch line is worth replacing.

MBC would be a good idea to replace, but make sure you bench bleed it first, so you dont have problems with it.
