I was wondering about this myself.

I need the lower one that goes to the front cover for my 91 that should be up and runnin by next week.So If I replace one line, I should probably replace them both.

What gets me is the actual construction of the braided lines.

If all it is, is that the hose is the same except its just got a metal braid that simply slips over it like a chainmail sock, then ss lines are a rip off. If the construction has the braid interlaced into the hose, then I could see them being 189 bucks.

But if its not, then I'll just go down to the home depot and get some ss plumbing braid an rice them up that way.

That's pretty steep still.

If someone found out the numbers and maybe footing in line that would rock so much.

If nont then I'm going with CS since I ahve to get their hybrid driveshaft anyways.

What are the specs on the RB, size, all that good stuff? You might be able to go to a plumping supplier and just get some braided high pressure lines...

rb has one of the fittings made for them so you can duplicate exactly, but you can get close enough not to matter. if you make it yourself its gonna be like $189 thats braided line an stuff is not cheap

You could go to a hydraulic hose shop and have them replace the stock rubber hose with some SS braided hose. This way you keep the stock fittings and get SS braided line. Its way cheaper this way. My friend got one of his oil cooler lines done this way at a local shop and paid about $40 bux for the line.

I've seen It but I want the RB style lines. It'll go nice with the rest of my AN fittings for my Fuel System and possible Turbo upgraded lines.

If you have any thing to add to this thread, let us know. That would be great.

Thats a good point. I figured If I start with getting these Oil Cooler Hose Adapter Fittings from Racing Beat first, (as required) one - 16mm to -10 hose end and one - 18mm to -10 hose end I can fabricate the rest up. Besides, I can't imagine Hose required for this would be all that expensive.

Been there, done that. Don't you guys know how to SEARCH! humor.

This thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=hose

The kicker is I'd already bought some Racing Beat/Mazdatrix lines but thought it was about time I tried to do it myself. And I did. Actually connected two oil coolers together plus the lines to the engine. No leaky atall. I be pro material!

Excellent! So, with 12ft of -10 AN Hose @ $12, coupled with 4 AN Fittings, you guys can probably see why $182 Isn't justifable.

I was looking at the pic again.

*As for the Rear housing adapter - 16mm to -10 hose end, the part # for the Earl's fitting Is EAR-9919FFJ $13.39

Fitting, Adapter, AN Flare to Metric -10 AN to 16mm x 1.5, Aluminum, Blue, Each

*As for the Rear housing adapter - 18mm to -10 hose end, the part # for the Earls'fitting Is EAR-9919FFK $13.39

Fitting, Adapter, AN Flare to Metric -10 AN to 18mm x 1.5, Aluminum, Blue, Each

No pics on the above.

I need to source out the others. Do you see where I am going with this thread? For less than half the price, RB replicas can be had.

Crap Hailers, thanks for the link. I would have checked out the link prior to me posting the last post but found myself taking much to long "searching" for part numbers all over the place.

Maybe you could take your stock lines to a hydraulic shop. And they can use those to make up some lines?

That would be cheap but might not have the sweet factor of the above solution.

Is It worth asking If I should be concerned If there Is a restrictor In the feedline of the Oil Cooler when I make my own set?

I'm guessing their Isn't on account of both feed/return hoses being of same diameter but I'm just confirming.

No restricter.

Tony, you're reading my mind on almost anything AN related. I'm doing this as well.

Haha...that was a course description as was the rest of my fittings. In any regard, It'll be cheaper to make my own AN set rather than buy from Racing Beat.
