replacing wheel bearings and studs
hey guys. I am going to isntall my wheel bearings, and i'm also thinking about doing wheel studs too
1)what is a good way to install races without damaging the race? Is there a small lip for me to press on?
2)I want to reuse my wheel nuts, are the camaro wheel studs i'm reading about the same thread pitch? What is our thread pitch, 1.25 or 1.5?
3)what is our knurl diameter?
Thanks

There is no lip or anything, you have to grind a notch out to punch them out with.

There is a fair chance that you won't need to do the inner races. Mine were in excellent shape even after 200k miles and a pile of auto-x. Just make sure there are no grooves, discoloration, or ridges and they should be fine to re-use.

I already saw a scar on my races. Even if I didnt, I would still replace them. I dont have one of those bearing install tools.
Im thinking about heating my hub up and freezing the race, but I'm not sure if they will slide right in

You might be able to use a socket to press in the new race.
Yes, the threads on those studs is the same, so you can re-use the nuts (M12x1.5). I believe the knurl on the stock studs is 0.507", and the Camaro/Corvette ones are 0.509", so a negligable difference that'll only help them seat better. They fit perfectly.
If you're planning on running spacers at any time in the future get the longer 3.25" ones for the front, they're a little over 1" longer, and the 2.5" ones are about 1" longer in the rear, but are slightly less than the fronts. The 2.5" ones aren't long enough in front to run much of a spacer.
