Replacing ABS hydraulic pump

My ABS hydraulic pump is leaking all over the place. I need a new one because i really dont want to rebuild the old one. I know i need to bleed the system when im done but what precautions do i need to take with the electrical system before and after removing it. I was just thinking something along the lines of disconnecting the negative battery cable. anyones advice with some experience would be appreciated.

Disconnecting the negative terminal is all you need to do. Why buy a new one though? They all seem leak-prone, so in my opinion it's best to just convert to non-abs.

If it's giving trouble, pull it.

It's a good unit, but it sits right above the red hot turbo.

Mine is still OK, but when it leaks, it's gone.
With it & the air pump gone, you can actually service the turbo.
