ok, i reread out all 3 coils and each coil is a tiny bit above the zero mark- but not quite on zero. when i touch the two prongs of the mm together the reading is at zero ohms. are these readings good or bad? if they are good, what is my next step? thanks (btw, my names dan, dont think i ever mentioned it)

i think this means the coils are good. another thing is that for all the times i have cranked the car to try to start it, i have never once smelled any fuel. is this normal, or is it more likely that im not getting fuel?(i dont no how that relates to getting no spark either tho).btw like a week before i changed the water pump, i did run the gas tank dry by accident.

is it possible that my ecu is fried? i read that is you test the brown and white wire on the pressure sensor and get no voltage than ur ecu is dead. i tested this by putting the positive wire from the mm to the brown and white wire and the neg mm wire to the frame as a ground. did i do this right? when i did it i got no voltage reading

sorry i havent been on in a while, been really busy. car still hasnt started and im still not getting spark. i dont think im getting fuel either because for all the time ive been cranking the car i havent smelled fuel at all. for the short time the car was running after i replaced the water pump the low coolant light and buzzer came on and off. i checked the coolant level and it was totally full. could this have anything to do with my problem? i would appreciate any advice anybody could give me

Wow, man, you're still having trouble with her?

Get to the plugs on your ECU and read out all the voltages that should be there with the key on, for the injectors, igniter timing signals, sensor inputs, etc per the FSM (section 4 for the S4's). That'll cover your associated grounds, if all the readings are good...

Damn dude....
Put some fuel in her and then see if you get any kinda smell...wouldn't hurt. Electrical problem.....not certain, but if you did misalign the pin from the water pump and did turn the engine over with everything removed, I definitely would not rule out the timing being off. Check into that. Let us know the outcome. I have the water pump on my to do list eventually. Interesting thread. BTW...good info Wayne.
