Fantastic work there man. I'm going to have to consider this for my next project, after I'm done desecrating my current FC.

recent work done...

-welded diff
-dtss elimenators in
-diff snubber installed
-solid diff mounts
-massive cowling & electric fan installed
-new piping for air intake
-homemade master brake cylinder brace (gives the brake pedal a lovely sponge free feel)

Experiencing almost zero wheel hop.

I am seriously considering doing this swap since I have the option of buying a t-boned RX-8... Rough estimate on how much it cost you to do the swap??

2006 230 RX8 engine & gearbox £1000 (thats very cheap)
MoTech M2R ECU £900
labour £700 (but if your doing your own work, happy days)
Exhaust system £150 (is easy enough to use from cat & back)
Extras (fuel reg, piping, electric fan, shift light for operating inlet flaps etc) £200
cut & shutting the drive shaft £150
these are rough prices but hope it helps

That thing is sex on wheels. The renesis motor is an incredible thing; that mated with the FC body is an amazing combination. The sound of the engine revving up there made my evening! Ive always been a fan of some N/A power, but that spoiler says turbo; let it happen!

Holy Crap that thing screams at high RPM, geez!!! Don't get that kind of sound from a peri exhaust ports like on the older 13B engines.

So I'm guessing the most you can do to the exhaust ports is something like a street port, and a bridgeport would be very problematic, from my assumptions.

Ha you should have heard it before i put the silencer in, put an instant grin on your face ever time you went past 5000 revs! But is still sounding great even now it has a silencer, this car is made for tunnels ha.... the silencer has toned it done just taking the high pitch off of it, i'll get a proper video done soon so you can hear it better.

Apparently porting renesis engines doesn't work as most of the ports are already large enough!?!

Awesome job.

I have been thinking of doing this myself. If you get any pics of underneath or engine mounts that would be great.

Look at that picture and then think long and hard about what you just posted.
