Removing throttle cable
Has anyone figured a good way to remove the throttle cable? That clip in the firewall is a pain to get to and once you get theres you have no room to push the tabs in. I worked at it for an hour tonight and could not get it it out. I even removed my seat so I could get under the dash. There's got to be a better way. Any ideas?

I just work at it with a flat blade screwdriver from under the dash and from the engine bay. You're pretty much guaranteed to jack up the clips a little removing it, but it'll usually still work if you put it back. I think this last time I did it, I got one side popped up from under the dash, then pried as hard as I could on the same side from the engine bay. It eventually came out.

IF you are not using the cable again, then put a long Flat headed Screwdriver on the Inside Clip, and Smack it..POP!.Comes right out..But Ya,I know they are a pain.(literally).Try doing it with a Screwed up back, the car on wheel stands, and Seats IN!
(now you know Why I Popped it out that way.I said Fugg it!)

I'm using a Lokar throttle cable kit, and reusing the factor cable so I can have the nice ball that attached to the throttle pedal. Cost $36 buck just for the cable, I bought a kit with a bracket and the pretty stainless cord for $70, and end up not using the bracket
I'll post a picture later.
