Removing the sunroof, who's done it?

Hi all, I've been looking for an FC without the factory sunroof for a while now, and I cant seem to find any. I know they are out there, but I'm starting to think it might be quicker to buy a nice sunroom equipped car, and just take the sunroof out. Has anybody done this?? If so please let me know how you did it. Thanks in advance.

A sunroom equipped car would be really nice. There is a topic about someone welding the panel up and the finshing the body work.

Whats wrong with sunroofs? is there that much of a weight difference with and without one? I personally like them I think they cool cool hanging off the car when its open.

Thanks for the replies, I must have missed that one. Sunroofs, aside from weighing a lot, take up precious head room, and because I want a weekend race project I'd prefer the extra room for a helmet.

It probably is a little lighter and alot cheaper(if you don't the equip). I already had the equipment except for a welding blanket to protect the interior. I did it to mine for extra helmet room and the car needed painted anyways.
