Removing S4 TPS. SAFC-II

I was wondering if I could unhook my S4 TPS and rewire it to my preasure sensor. Been done? I currently have my SAFC-II hooked up to my preasure sensor for throttle position.

Thanks in advance.

The S-AFC can learn the voltage range of the pressure sensor, BUT the old S4 ECU is not so smart.
The ECU is only looking for ~1 volt from the TPS for deceleration fuel cut & idle.
You can run without the TPS, but you will get a check light.

why not just wire the gray wire from the safcII (TPS) to your map sensor wire on the ecu. thats what I did but I kept the TPS plugged in its just the wierd thing is when wired like that since its based on temperature, ie barometric pressure sensor aka your map sensor aka boost sensor

all the same name.

in gear under full vacuum my safcII will read 0.0% throttle and and since based on temp via voltage.

full throttle shows 92-100% throttle under WOT depending on the temp outside so at night it gets more to 100%

then again, I don't have a turbocharger so I dunno how it would affect on a boosted car since you'd be reading higher than atsmopheric pressure.

other than that it works well on my s4 NA and its much more accurate than just wiring the gray wire into the TPS, its just no substitue for a wideband TPS...

then again there is no replacement for tunning other than load, not throttle position. heh
