Removing rear brake rotor/halfshaft stuck
Ok all so i am still in the process of doing the 5 lug conversion. The passenger side didnt give me much trouble but the driver side rear is a pain right about now. I tried hitting in the shaft or axle whatever you call the thing that connected inside the spindles to the differential. It got to the point where i cant even fit that nut back in there now im stuck. Luckily i have an s5 parts car. Anyways the axle/shaft wont come out of either sides i was wondering what i could do to either get it off the spindle or atleast out the car. Can you cut that axle/shaft in half?

There was just a thread talking about this exact thing. Did you even try to search?
Anyway, overtighten the nut a bit with a good impact gun and that will break the corrosion that is holding it in there. Then remove the nut and a few LIGHT taps with a hand sledge and it should come right off.

You didn't need the search engine to find it. The thread was about 20 threads below your initial thread post on this initial 2nd Gen page. For your reference: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/tips-getting-rear-axle-out-hub-967708/
NA half shafts are NA half shafts. Interchangable.

Too old for this
I finally succeeded by mounting a big 3-jaw puller on the hub and running it down with a big impact gun.
Found much more affordable wheel bearings on RockAuto. Hopefully they last.
