Removing the finish from t2 wheels

On my S4 t2 wheels the clear coat is pealing off. i want to just take it off and leave the flat aluminum color. How do I finish taking off the coating? It won't scrape off. Any solvents or anything I could use?

If you do that, it's going to look great for awhile, but unless you polish it, it's going to get dull pretty fast.

+1 on aircraft remover or other solvents...then use sandpaper up to 1500 grit to take out the imperfections, polish it and clear coat it to permanently restore it.
