there are a couple of ways, and i believe it would be part of the TB mod/trick. what i would do temporarily, is unscrew the valves, and leave that spine that holds the valves in, because if u take that off, u have to fill that hole on the outside of TB, and unless u got somthing like that, i wouldnt take out the spine. and im not sure but u might have to check to see if the wires that are connected and control that part of the TB will not cause a side effect of the wires not being hooked up, like a check engine light, performance issues and so on, maybe a good search would help, on here and yahoo

The only way I was able use to get out those 4 screws was using the Screw Extractor sold at Sears. I stripped the screws badly but these took them out without the least bit of effort. The Screw Extractor also got me out of a jam when I removed the Fuel Pump Cover Lid.

Here's the full TB mod how-to. Don't worry about any of the thermowax stuff unless you don't mind a car that will not idle until warm. Just remove the #2 secondary throttle plates, shaft and linkages, then plug the hole. Don't even try to remove the throttle screws intact. It takes les than a minute to drill them all out. It's not like you're going to be reinstalling them. You'll need to remove the UIM to do this mod.
