removing door panels on 87

Hey, I've searched through the forums but i still didn't find what i was looking for. I've looked through parts of the factory manuals but found nothing. . .
How do i remove the door panels on my 1987 non-turbo rx7.
I unscrewed all the screws and i have manual windows and the handle that turns the window is whats holding the entire panel off. How do i take that handle off? Or how do i take the whole thing off with the handle?

its rather simple to get the window handle off, there is a clip on the back side of the handle that hold the handle onto the shaft. you can go buy a window clip tool, which costs 5 bucks, or you can use a clean shop rag. if you use the rag, pull the rag close to the handle and try to force the clip out. i've used both on my fc, the tool is easier. hope this helps.

If you look close you'll see a gold clip. Find the center of the clip where it is raised up. You may have to rotate it. take a flat head and CAREFULLY push it in. It'll move about 1/4 inch. Push in slowly and slowly pull the handle off. It'll pop right off. Dont forget to put the small plastic piece that sits behind it.

Ya, once I heard clip I knew exactly what it meant. I have a parts car, Im taking the doors and panels off to send to prep to paint. So I was just blindly curious. Its cool even an old dumb thread can be searched and helpful.
