It should just pull right out. Make sure the timing marks a lined up properly. I just pulled mine to replace the front cover gasket and I had to pull out and push up a little and it popped right out.
Why are you removing the CAS?

The cas has a small o ring that surround the shaft.
it is then placed in the front cover and bolted in place with that 10mm bolr.
What happens is Corrosion will set in there and make the Cas hard to Remove.
By taking the 10 mm bolt out and Tapping on the Cas casing, you should be able to eventually break it free and pull it straight up and out.
try and hit it from Under the Casing,It is a hard place to get at,but Trust me it works every time.
