Removing Battery Box

I am going about replacing my oil cooler lines. Don't have the new ones yet, but I can't really drive the car in the state it's in now, so I though of going about removing the old ones. I'm trying to remove the battery box and I have one bolt holding it on. I tried all my sockets and none of them work and I believe the edges of the bolt are all rounded off. It is kind of in an awkward position. I thought about torching it to maybe melt the plastic around it but I'm scared about using a flame in the engine bay. I don't want to rip the battery box out. What should I do?

They are two M6 bolts but yeah, they rust out quickly due to the battery. You can try griding the heads off with a die grinder or dremel and then remove the shank of the bolt with Vice Grips after you have slid off the box.
