removing the avc.
ok, im trying to set up so i can swap my cats in and out. Im currently moving my port actuators to a stand alone system. So i was thinking of removing the ACV and keeping the air pump. Then hooking the airpump directly to the cat when i have that on the car. and just let it dump when i dont have a cat. Is it ok to hook the cat directly to the airpump so i can pass the emissions test?

If you can hook the hose, at the end of the Air Pump, to the tip of the Split air Pipe than I would Imagine you are maximizing air Intake to the Cat for combustion. But It's a little more complicated than that. HAILERS maybe able to fill In the details.
If this Is your primary concern than why don't you strip all of the above and but It all back on come emissions time?

Also you say stand alone system. Do you mean for the Auxilliary ports? I guess you still require the use of the Air Pump than? Launch the pump and use a 12v air compressor thus allowing you to use a FULLY Independant set up Instread that of the OE. By doing It this way, you are able to strip all of these components (AP, ACV, SAP,).
