Removed UIM wonder what those holes are
ok so i removed my UIM and everything else to be swapped onto my new engine.
the UIM ( one hole is covered i think thats normal)
New Engine with the holes plugged
old engine and the holes are open
so i was wonder what those holes are and if its ok to leave it blocked?
thanks, William

The rotor housings with the water passages *plugged* are non turbo rotor housings....most likely.
If you drill out the rear coolant passage, then where will you install the o'ring to keep the water from leaking out? There's no place for the o'ring to seat on the non turbo housing.
