Remove Cooler Hoses

Hi All.

I have an '89 'vert that was swapped from auto to 5-speed before I bought it. I recently found a leak and it seems to be coming from the cooler hoses.

The cooler hoses are only on the automatic transmission which...now that it is swapped...shouldn't be necessary. Any issues with just removing and blocking them off?

Anyone done this before? Thanks.

If you happen to have a Haynes Manual...on page 103 in the Coolin, Heating, and AC section. It calls them Cooler Hoses and says they are for the automatic transmission only...which this car was at one time.

So I don't know if it is the tranny cooler 100% certain but it sounds like it may be.
