Remote stereo locations?

Alright, I'm considering reworking my center console for gauges and other things but would like to keep my stereo. I'm thinking of mounting it remotely. Was thinking either glove box or maybe vertical in the center console. Anyone ever done something like this? I'm open to ideas.

Dave

I remember seeing stereo custom fab'ed to the glove box... can't quite recall where I found it though. Are you doing a single DIN or double DIN stereo?

How many gauges are you wanting? Because if you have a single DIN stereo you might not even need to move it from the center console. I have plenty of room for 3 gauges above my deck and I just made a simple surround bezel out of black plexiglass (I only have two there plus some switches, but I made it so I can put another gauge where the switches are later).

I'm well aware that you can still fit gauges as well as a deck in the dash but I wanted to go for more of the race car look with just a CF or aluminum center console.
