Relocating Air temp sensor.

Well, I have noticed that when it is cold, my car pulls pretty hard, but the hotter it gets, the less power it seems to have.

I have been told that it could be the ATS reading wrong because of the engine getting hot.

Where is the best place to relocated to? Before or after AFM? What is the thread pitch and all that of the ATS? I am going to buy a small bolt to put where it used to be. And I need to drill / tap a new hole. I was thinking in the plastic tube that goes from the TB to the AFM.

that's just they way the car works. I've heard people say the throttebody mod helps with this, because it removes the coolant running through it.

You have an interesting combination of mods on an NA. A Walbro pump, FPR and an S-AFC. How was the car tuned?

Reloating the IAT isn't going to help. It sounds like the car may be tuned too lean.

Yea, each mod has it's own reason. Most of which aren't performance.

I had the walbro from another car, so I thought I would see if it worked in this one. Found out the walbro i had was the same part # as the rx one. So, I popped it in, because it was new, and I had it.

The external FPR was because of the dripping FPD. I didn't want to pay for a new FPD so i got a FPR with a PD built in. Also, it lets me adjust the FP. I have the FPR set to 36 I think. Or 38. Can't recall right now. It was set by jumping the pump thing and then putting the car to the ON position, but not starting. Then setting the FP.

SAFC-II was because I heard the cars run rich and I wanted to tune it down. I don't have the tools right now, but I would like to buy a wideband O2 that can be stuck in the tail pipe and tuning from there.

Thanks for the responses.

IAT heatsoak isn't nearly as big of a problem on a second gen as on, say, an FD (where the IAT is located under the UIM). The 2nd gen IAT thread is an M10 x 1.50 , somebody correct me if I am wrong.
