hey guys i am removing my release bearing and replacing it next and is therer any short cut way just to push the tranny back without having to remove everything to get in there. And when i put the clutcvh back in do i need that alignment tool?
If you can drop the transmission down far enough for the shifter tower to clear the hole whilst it is sitting on a jack, then yes you can. Easiest way is to just drop the whole thing and then take out the bearing. As for the aligntment tool, are you replacing the clutch or just changing the release bearing? If you are not changing the clutch, there really is no reason for the alignment tool.
