probly a bad relay (low resistance) and its blowing a breaker, so everytime the breaker resets the relay clicks on untill it blows again

This may sound silly but its worth a shot. Ive been installing car alarm systems for years now and i have worked on cars before where when there is a problem with the brain the relays on the inside could be tripping. That may not be it but like i said its worth a shot.

just go through your car and turn things on one by one untill something weird happens to let you know what relay it is. then you can test it from there to see what the problem is

Not entirely, my turbo conversion would do this often, the AFM would slam shut and i'd hear the relay click, then it'd open again and continue on it's way.

you mean when you let off the throttle? i guess since it wouldnt use much of the available pressure to keep it going. but he says its like a constant clicking pattern...

Ah, he mentioned when he left off the gas, which is why I suggested it, if it remains constant after that though then there's something else!

ya didnt see that. my question is how the hell can you hear a relay while the car is running? stock exhaust with a silencer? i guess if the thing isnt running differently dont worry about it, your just picking up on a sound that most people dont notice

haha, well, I noticed originally on my SAFC when it'd hit 0, and my stumble when getting back on the gas, so I was like WTF, that and I always 'heard' the click, but never payed attention to it, but hell I had no cats and two apexi N1's and I could hear it, it's not all that hard in the cabin when you're cruising though, and most cars don't slam the AFM shut.

wow, sonic do you ever sleep?lol its not all the time when i let off the throttle and its very noticable with a bad manufold gasket and leaking exhaust. sometimes its fast as sin and sometimes itll click once. sonuc, how did you fix your relay problem. if thats what it is, is it a major problem or can i ignore it? ( if its the fuel pump relay of course)

hey, i think its the relay for pump. when i let off its around 2,000 itll click a few times and sometimes its when i push in the clutch. is this a big concern that it sudenly seems louder that normal? or is it just me being paranoid? thanks everyone for the help!! you all get big GOLD STARS for the week!! woot.

im having a damn similar problem on my 86 n/a, but the clicking is usually right around 3grand for me, and when it clicks its like my throttle cuts off and then back on, causing my car to jerk violently once or twice, but if i baby the throttle, or give it a little clutch while its going on it works its way through

at first i thought it was just because id put some injector cleaner into my tank and i was just getting dirty gas clogs from crap at the bottom, but originally it was cutting off at around 5 grand, stopped doing that for a day and now its at 3 grand

im pretty sure like people have said here its just a relay, but im not sure which one, or how to find out exactly

hopefully this is the same problem, and something easy to fix >_<
