Regular rubber coupler from TID to turbo?

Right now I have a regular black rubber coupler from Home Depot between the TID to the turbo. Is this thing gonna melt? I've heard of people using these. If you have tried one of these, please share your experience. If you've never used one, please don't say "ITS GONNA MELT" without actually knowing. I would think that it won't melt because the stock TID was just thin plastic and that was fine. Thoughts?

I've seen many owners use the black rubber waste pipe couplings on the TID, so under most conditions, they work fine.
They are probably what I'll use when I get to that mod. (Unless I luck into something better.)

The compressor outlet to IC connections, on the other hand, are probably too hot for those couplings.
I defer to others on that area.
