Redom ECU

Hey everybody well here's my issue after planning for quite a while I finally decided to buy a rtek 2.1 for my gtu turbo swap. But after some vesta getting I found out that I already had a form of read on the ecu in my car. With the help of RETed and few others from a different forum I still cannot figure out what kind of ECU this is. (Type A,B, or C). The problem is the sticker on the outside that usually indicates which type is no longer there and on the inside of the case all there is is a second Redom tag. Before I go out and buy a new ECU I figured I give a larger group a chance to give some input. Any info is thanked!

It sounds like you got one of the units that didn't have the ID sticker on the outside of the case. Hopefully there is a small marking on the ECU sticker. If not, then I think you are stuck. Regardless, were it my ECU, I would just contact Rtek to see if they can still work their wonders on it. An Rtek 2.1 is far superior to anything ever produced by Redom.

Spare ECUs are a dime a dozen in the classifieds, I'd just pick up one from there and have that RTEKed.
