Red break calipers
Last saturday I took 4 hours to clean and paint my break calipers. My new rims should come in this week so hopefully they'll show them off well. Sorry if anyone thinks its rice, i think it looks great w/ it being so close to the color of my car, to each their own.
ps. yeah i know my car is dirty...it'll get a good wash when the new rims arive.

You could pick up a used set of 4 piston calipers pretty cheap - and spend some time repainting them. Then when you put them on - they would look great through the new rims. That and you'd get impropved braking!

Nope, Ive had my calipers black for a while, an recently changed to red.
I took a wire wheel to each caliper (off the car) until I had gotten all of the dirt and brake dust off. I then used high temp engine enamel, with a clear, and baked them under my baking lamp.

why not just take the caliper off, gives you a chance to inspect and clean everything as well as maybe replace pads, or rotors.
I painted mine red, VHT brake caliper paint, looked awesome till I cleaned them with simple green and they faded orangy

Most of these cars could probably use fresh brake fluid anyway.

not to mention most of us are still on our original master cyl..... the extra pumping could easily cause it to fail....
changing out the master cyl. is a pain in the *** as well. but have fun finding that out one day.

nope, take mine to a shop and have it flushed. but who said anything about fluid?
i was thinking more of the hassle it is to get the RIGHT PARTS from the parts store instead of having them screw you over ~3 times.
bottom line, if you like bleeding the brakes more than you need to, then go ahead and have fun
