Red 1988 t2. Any info on this car?

Does anybody have any details on this car. He wants to trade me for my 84 GSLSE. Cars in nCali.
Car runs but only for a few seconds then dies. I researched the forms and it's either the fuel pump or afm.
Think I should trade?

Compression test it, everything else is reasonably fixable but a rebuild is a huge undertaking. I highly doubt it is a compression related problem but knowing that the engine is healthy will help you make your decision

I'll definitely check the compression. He stated that it was rebuilt about 4k miles ago and had the receipt for the rebuild. I didn't ask to what extent the build was taken to, but I'm planning on going on am adventure tomorrow afternoon and looking at it.

I'd question who rebuilt it and if theres a warranty and if its transferable

Does your gsl-se run? I'd have a hard time trading a running driving vehicle for one that doesn't

My SE runs and I've got some work done to it. But if this T2 is an easy fix I scored. I've been trying to get rid of me SE for awhile now with no luck.

Jumper the fuel check connector or the bottom two wires of the circuit opening relay before starting the car.
