Rebuilt tranny is GOLD!

Well, as some of you may know my car(88 TII) was set on fire around december. So I had to get another 7. Drove up to KY and got a good deal on a 90 GXL. It needed a transmission (yay) but it was an auto. Decided to do auto-> manual swap with my TII tranny and rearend. Since my tranny was a little spotty ... decided to rebuild it. It was not a FULL rebuild but pretty close... didn't replace: gears, shafts, casing, etc. DID replace: all brass synchro rings, one synchronizer, and a couple bearings. Cost was about 300 bucks and a LOT of time and messing around. Would I do it again? hell yes! but I wouldn't be so stupid about it and I would have my **** together moreso than I did...

MY GOD THIS THING IS A DREAM!

You mean hacked up everyday tools?

ground down sockets...

modified bearing pullers...

bent hangers...

etc etc...

you don't want to pay the $$$ for the special tools, trust me. Not unless you are doing a LOT of them.
