Rebuilt Engine- hesitation on very light throttle?
Got my new rebuilt up and running and trying to work out a few of the bugs. Right now on light throttle the car sometimes feels slugish, hesitant, and then kicks forward slightly as though it is misfiring and then firing fine. When accelerating there doesnt seem to be a problem and when decelerating there is also no problem that I can tell. It idles fine also. It is also not the 3800 RPM hesitation because I have not even taken the engine up that high because of breaking it in. I am thinking it might be the CAS might not be aligned properly because that was out of alignment when I first started it up and I couldnt get it to run. Any other ideas?
Also, I am just wondering is there a way to tell when the Mass Air Flow sensor is going bad? Mine seems to be clicking louder than it used to be. Cant remember exactly what it used to sound like since it has been a few months since I have drove it.
Oh, Another reason I am thinking it might be the CAS is because it seems to be running slightly hot. About 1/2 on the stock gauge (S4). I might be out in never never land with ideas so let me know what you guys think. I would like to get this fixed and put miles on it.
