rebuilding turbo

i've recently bought a s4 turbo, and i was wondering if i should send it to BNR supercars to rebuild or maybe upgrade to a hybrid.

but i was wondering, can i make myself my own hybrid just by buying a to4b compressor and housing, and to4b back plate?

You can, but you will still need to get the wastegate ported and the wheel balanced. You might also want to upgrade to a 360 thrust bearing.

i figured all the other things can be bought, and if i wanted to port it. i'd take it to this one place here in minnesota called map something, they dont specialize in rotaries at all. the balancing i'm at a loss so...

i think in the end i'll send it to bnr supercars

Any real turbo shop should be able to rebuild and balance a turbo. There's nothing real rotary-specific about the turbo, I think you would be much more pleased upgrading to a T04B compressor, as long as you have enough supporting mods for fuel and tune to run it properly. And you can port the wastegate easily yourself, just get a dremel and a carbide bit.

Hello.

A S4 turbo is not something for just any turbo shop. Just porting the stock wastegate will only get you a blown motor when it gets cold outside. That puny thing will creep and will not stop after you upgrade the compressor. I CNC port the turbine housings and have custom stainless CNC valve assembly upgrades. No other turbo shop will devote the time and money for just a few turbo jobs.
