Rebuilding the clutch master cylinder - Problems

Rebuilding the clutch master cylinder - Problems

***I am following everything from the write-up that is in the ARCHIVE section.***

The previous owner of the car told me that he had everything replaced as far as the clutch system goes, but I wasn't too confident in that. This is my first time removing the CMC since I have bought the car. Upon inspection, I found that the boot for the slave cylinder was ripped so I replaced everything there already.

While taking apart the CMC, I referenced the FSM pictures and the assembly was different from what it was.

The circled spring and the bushing was installed the other way around. I'm able to remove the spring but can't get the bushing out. I've tried an air compressor at the front fitting in front of the resevoir but it won't give. Am I stuck buying a new one?

If it won't come out with air you may very be stuck. If you mar up the walls of that bore it'll never seal right.

Yeah i just replaced my Clutch master cylinder about 2 months ago. Almost bought a rebuild kit but the Guy at Mazdatrix told me the rebuild kits work about 50% of the time. Better off just buying a new one. I also read that oem tend to last longer. The clutch master cylnder i just replaced was only on the car for 7 months >.>
