Rebuild time?
I looked through numerous posts but couldn't find a good answer.
I'd just like to know, aprox how many hours does it take to rebuild an engine?

After all the parts are prepared. rotors, housing. it only took me half a day to slap everything together.
I let my rotors soak for a day. and i cleaned everything else in that same day. prepared all the combustion seals and water seals and brushed hylomar on everything. installed all the seals on the rotors. and went at it.
I was lazy and slow and did it in 3 afternoons.

Ok I'm talking for everything. from start to finish. From the moment you open the hood to pull the motor to the moment you have a rebuilt, properly running motor back in your car.
In hours would be nice, if you care to venture a guess.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Not having done it before, and assuming yo have a large, clean work area with proper tools, allot 60 man-hours to the job.
About 8 to pull, 8 to disassemble(manifolds), 2 to disassemble engine, 8 to clean and inspect, 6 for the rebuild, 10 for reassembly(manifolds)(since youll be cleaning some of these parts as well, and ensuring they go back in the right spot, etcc.)10 to install, and 8 more to fool around and tie up loose ends, set idle, tps, etc. as well as clean up the shop.
Personally, Ive got it down so I could probably do it in a 14 hour day if I really wanted or needed to. Its just a matter of experience and knowing where stuff goes the first time.
