Rebuild it. If you shoot it, you will have to spend as much (or more) money on a crummy replacement car that would not look any near as good as your car does now.

When you have the engine out, you may want to port the wastegate so you don't blow your engine again. Also, how about a street port while it's opened up?

eyecandy that sucks! only three weeks and pow! sounds like a lawn mower know? I still drive mine around when i get the itch. That is a trip that your car has same miles on it. what are you going to do with it? Maybe we should find a place that will give a two for one discount! Ha Ha

Atleast you can drive yours! Mine won't even start!

Prolly a jspec, so I can get a S5 drivetrain, better turbo, CR etc...still not definate, need to see how the turbo is since I blew 2 apex seals...I am sure its not the best now...

ha! 3,000!!!!
i am in 18,000 + and still have stuff to do to it! You are in good shape if that is all that you spent! I would say at very least buy a j-spec, put her in and then sell it but don't trash it! it looks to be in really good shape... or rebuild it do it right and then enjoy the rx-7 TII drug Personally I would do the rebuild and enjoy I mean you got all winter to do so right?

So you are going to shoot it and then buy another POS that requires major maintenance? If you are thinking about buying a new car with a warranty, then that's probably a good idea if you are tired of fixing broken cars, but another used car isn't going to be any better than what you have now, and maybe even worse.
