Rebuild, Reman, or Used Engine?

It seems according to popular belief my coolant seals are no more, so now I'm faced with a dilemma. Do I rebuild my engine, buy a remanufactured, or buy a used one? Also whichever one I go with I want to have some porting job done to it. So which is the best way to go for me?

Does anyone know any Rotary Performance Shop in the LA area that does all this? Either have Rebuilt engines pre-ported ready for sale, or do the rebuilding and porting themselves doesn't matter, I just don't want to send out my engine half way around the world if I end up going with a rebuild.

And about how much am I looking at with each option (Rebuilt, Reman, and Used) + the Porting job. The R&R I'll be doing myself so don't worry about including that extra charge.

Remans do not come ported, and with a used engine, you have no idea what you are actually getting, so rebuilding your current engine seems to be the most logical choice.
