Rebuild Problems PLEASE HELP
Ok I have had my rebuild over 2 weeks now. I have started it maybe 8 or so times. It is still having trouble starting up every time. I still have to spray starter fluid every time. is this normal? or is something wrong? Also I know my batterys bad so i need to jump it every time but it tend to shut off in the middle of idling. first the lights will all dim then it will stall. Does this mean my alternator is shot or is there another problem? Any advice will be helpful.

It does sound like your alternator is funky, try putting meter on the battery terminals while it's running. You should get 13 volts or better. If not, the alternator is bad or your battery is so bad it's pulling everything down. If I were you, I'd pull the alternator out and have it tested at autozone or somewhere, Then put it back (if it's good) with the NEW battery you just bought.

Flooding is an issue with fresh rebuilds and yes it'll still start with a flood, just harder. Best thing to do is rev the car up to about 3k and cut off the engine (pull key out) before it falls all the way down, it'll help with flooding.
When you first got the car back how long did you let it idle? Usually you should give it a good 30-45 min of idle time after first startup. Also, even if you can't drive it idling it in the driveway for a long period of time can help as rebuilds have low compression for a while.
Since rebuilds have such low compression initially and for the first while you'll have some issues, but after the first 100-200 miles or so it'll start getting much better, or should.
