rebuild problem
my rebuild motor runs and everything else is working except it wont hold at idle it stalls instead. im thinking a vac leak but does anyone else have any ideas??it would have to be a fairly large vac leak wouldnt it though to stall it outright?? its an 89 n/a
what have you done with your airpump? i figured if you have a cone filter, then the airpump hose may be sucking air making the whistling sound, otherwise it may be the vacuum leak causing your engine to stall. The thermowax and bac valve may assist the engine better in idling when the engine is cold. idk. how many miles are on it so far?
no air pump and no emmisions none of that stuff its ll removed. there's no aircare here so yay. the engine is like rand new just put in today started it up once then as it heated up it started to run sloppier so i let it cool off and started it up again
when its cold it runs awesome
but when it warms by the time it gets halfway on the thermostat it will die. also maybe totally unrelated my parking brake light is on now even when the break is off
