Talk with Kevin (RotaryResurrection) he will set you up for a good price (http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/) and a lot lower than $3000-$4000...

racingbeat has some for a good price.
Labor is cheap, and wear&tear parts are okay.
Be careful if you start replacing major parts!
The NA engine parts are no longer made, and finding good replacements is getting harder and harder to find with each passing day.
A good used NA motor can easily get you $1,000, and a fresh rebuilt one selling for close to $2,000 wouldn't surprise me.
These will be higher versus turbo engines for the same amount of work.

Now you can see how much these major parts can quickly add up!
Blowing one apex seal / rotor will typically take out the rotor and the rotor housing, so you're looking at a minimum of $1,000 right there!

The latest batch that just hit the states, are all from Hong Kong wrecking yards...
Most of the Jspec rotary engines are simply from wrecked cars that someone pulls the motors out and sends them to america.
But the Jspecs really don;t matter to this thread, as they are all turbo motors... Non turbos are what Ted was talking about and the non-turbos are not available as Jspec motors.
