Rebuild kits for S5 & S4
I'm looking for the cheapest (price not quality) complete rebuild kits I can find for a 13b. They must have a 1000% mark up on the price of the rebuild kits with apex seals that I have been looking at!
I have a S5 F/C N/A with 68000 original miles on it. It looks like it has two blown apex seals on the front rotor. I pulled the leading plug and used a mirror and flash light to see the apex seals while I spun the engine by hand, and then used a small flat tip screwdriver to push on the seals to see if they were stuck. It looks like two of the seals or gone and they just have the spring left in the slot and the other one is OK. Or it could be that I was seeing wrong and that two seals or fine and one seal is just stuck?? Because the one seal isn't shiny like the other two?? Hard to tell.
Has any body ever just changed the apex seals only, I know it sounds stupid, but it's cheap.
The car that I just bought has only 68000 miles on it and had been sitting up for a long time.
Damn, I guess I better change everything.
So back to the original question. Where can I find the cheapest rebuild kit????
Thanks
Bruhman
