Rearend Removal

I jacked up the whole FC. I need to take out the LSD, CV shafts, etc... Anyway, I am pretty sure I jacked the rear up in the wrong spot to take this out. Anyone have a pic. of the bottom and could they show where to jack the rear... in order to take out the rear? lol

Jack it up from the diff, put jackstands under the body lip in the rear.

Refer to Haynes Manual/FSM or search the site for the rest. I know there are write ups, and tips and tricks to doing it.

I've written a few of the helpful hints to getting it out.

The whole rear frame can be dropped, it's held in with a few bolts. The Haynes manual should show you how to do it. Took me a few minutes to do, no biggie. Easier with a buddy, sucks solo.
