i have a 91 GXL fc

i resently replaced the rear shock on the left side. now the wiper doesn't work.
I check the wire connections there plugged in good.
the fuse is good.
when i press the switch in for the wiper it still shoots water but when i turn the **** it doesn't move the wiper.

the contacts on the connecting piece of the shock is a faded copper color.. im begining to think its thats.
but it could also be the motor
or the switch.
what do ya'll think it is?
