Rear wiper doesnt work because its always PARKED!

I can use a battery to move the motor.

But how in the WORLD does this wiper know when to park?

How does it know when to UN-PARK and stay in motion??

What controls this?

Someone please help me understand the VERY COMMON PROBLEM!

I have never seen a working rear wiper until yesterday, and NONE of mine work.

One would think the switch on the gauge surround would tell it what to do.

I do know they won't work with the hatch up unless you straight wire it.

Yesm it wont work while up, that much i know, but how does this thing use TWO WIRES to tell it to park?

I know that one is GND and the other is +12v.

Even though the wiper can be grounded via the frame, its not reliable so the wired it with two power wires.

This makes no sense.
