Rear Wiper

The rear wiper on my car doesn't work. I can't figure out why. The switch does work. Does anyone know if they are on the same fuse? Any other ideas?

You might need a new wiper switch.

*Try taking out the switch and cleaning the connections/contacts.

the rear wiper switch goes out like the front wiper switch, The wash jets are on a different contact so thats why that still works. My first speed of my rear wiper is starting to go out.

Mine doesn't work either. I had put In a s5 Turbo II one and It started smoking! Now, out of all the other switches I have In my parts bin, I tested them and they don't work. Atleast I think they do work but the harness doesn't. I'll have to check It out.

There are two minature 12V relays within the rear wiper switch. When either of these relays go out the rear wiper may not function properly. You can buy similar relays at an electronics store and replace them yourself, but it tends to become a tedious repair job. Alternatively, you may want to check out this website:

BTW, I have no involvement with the above website. I found it once while doing a search, and book mrked it. There may be other websites that give more info on wiper switch repair. HTH.
